JAM enables people with learning difficulties to discreetly let others know.

JAM (Just a minute) enables people with learning difficulties to discreetly let someone know of their needs without verbalising it. JAM can be invaluable during personal interactions as it allows those with a condition to get their message across simply and effectively just by showing their phone screen. It also offers other supporting features which allow users to stay informed and lets us know us how users interact with the card in the community. We have completely redesigned the JAM Card app! As well as the features that were available before, you can now choose from a wider selection of JAM Card messages, save your favourite places to your JAM Card profile, and add ratings and reviews to places in the JAM Card app.

Useless

It is great to have a tool that speaks for you when you can't. It takes the stress out of the moment.

Good app, does me what I need it to, could do with a few more options for other metal problems (Not that it's bad just can't think of the correct word), but still recommend if you don't want to carry a physical card on you, like me.

I would love of there were more condition specific options, I have ADHD, but had trouble with selecting an option, and had to go with "learning difficulty" which doesn't really explain my issues with attention and getting distracted.

i think it would be useful if we could get the option to edit the cards ourselves so it would be more adapted to the individual that is using it. since there are not enough card options to suit everyone who would benefit from using this app. but i really do love the idea behind this app and hope it continues to grow and help people ☺️

Great application

I was really looking forward to using this app. I have narcolepsy and I i hate feeling vulnerable and explaining myself in public places. This app was advertised to me as an option for people with hidden disabilities.... I do not have a brain injury or a learning disability so I'm quite upset to find their is no way of changing my disability profile. I am disappointed because I don't feel represented on this app and I will be deleting it.

I wonder if the app developers are reading the reviews or even updating this app. So many people have stated that they would prefer it to say 'I am autistic' instead of 'I have autism/aspergers' and these reviews go back months to a couple of years. It would be better if we could type in what we wanted it to say tbh. And others have also mentioned the gender issue, only male and female options is very outdated. It does also seem weird that you have to sign up for an account to use this app, when it's very basic.

I would like to be more options than just I have a learning disability/difficulty. I have dyspraxia that is more than just being clumsy,I get stressed, anxious, panicky&find it hard to hear people in noisey environments. I have co-ordinational difficulties which makes packing things away tricky. Oh marbles sandwell went out of business 4 years ago.

Great idea, needs more sensitive options. Came across Jam via the Hidden Disabilities website. Sounds like an awesome idea and the JAM website even says you can edit the words on your card in the app. However this seems not to be accurate, I have to choose one of the preset options. Showing an unknown someone who may or may not know about invisible illnesses a card that says 'I have a condition' makes me cringe. I think I'll just carry on how I am until the back of the card becomes truly editabl
